Youth Group

Term 3

Job Readiness

Employment is an essential component of transitioning from adolescence to adulthood and a critical source of livelihood. Although many youths experience challenges in obtaining employment, those with a disability often experience more barriers compared to their typically developing peers.

Job Readiness is a program designed to teach youth pre-employment skills and gain confidence to set attendees up for success in the workforce.

The program consists of nine face-to-face sessions covering the benefits of paid employment, how to write a resume, dress for a job interview, mock interviews, workplace sight visits and more.
