About Early Links

Early Links is a not-for-profit organisation that offers early intervention and support services for people with disabilities of all ages in the Hunter region. About the role

We are seeking a bus driver to play a key role in our Big Yellow Bus on Tour initiative driving the bus to playgroups in various locations across the Hunter and Port Stephens regions. The Big Yellow Bus is a mobile playground with a flying fox, slide and rock-climbing wall. The bus provides a playgroup to families who might otherwise not have the opportunity to engage in a regular playgroup. The Big Yellow Bus playgroup offers free and inclusive opportunities for children with additional/special needs and allows families to access services and support.

Selection criteria

  • Contract is up to 6 months with the opportunity for ongoing work
  • Up to 4 days per week with opportunity for weekend work as required
  • 4 to 7 hours per day depending on location
  • Locations vary across the Hunter Valley and Port Stephens areas
  • Successful applicants will be required to assist in set up and pack up of the equipment

Mandatory Requirements

  • Hold MR or above licence
  • Provide current RMS driving history
  • Valid New South Wales Drivers Licence
  • Current Working with Children Check (Employee)
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Current First Aid Certificate (including CPR)
  • Right to work in Australia
