Our playgroups

Early Links runs free playgroups in Maitland and Muswellbrook to support the local community. Our Maitland Playgroup is an inclusive playgroup with support for children with additional needs.

Early Links also runs a MyTime playgroup in Muswellbrook, focusing on the needs of parents and carers of children with a disability. Children are cared for so parents and carers can enjoy some time for themselves.

Our playgroup teams do a fantastic job of creating fun and safe environments for children to learn and grow and for families to build connections and receive support.

Funding

We are very grateful for the funding our playgroups receive from Playgroups NSW and the Australian Government Department of Social Services, as without this support, they would not be possible.

Playgroups appeal 2022

Whenever possible, we arrange for additional members of our therapy and support teams to go to playgroups to offer specialised support and guidance to the families there. We see very clearly the benefits this can bring to children and their families but unfortunately, it is not covered by the current funding. In July this year, we launched our playgroups appeal 2022 to address this with the goal of raising thirty thousand dollars. If successful, this will mean that we can continue offering qualified support and guidance to our playgroup families by funding the attendance of members of our therapy and support teams. We have been delighted to secure sponsorship for this appeal through the generosity and community-mindedness of local businesses. Early Links 2022 trivia night

As part of our playgroups appeal 2022, we held our very first fundraising event. The Early Links 2022 Trivia Night was held at East Maitland Bowling Club and was a great success. More than sixty local businesses generously donated prizes that were auctioned and raffled on the night. Thank you to everyone who came along and took part to help us raise over eight thousand dollars towards the appeal.

Our progress so far

Thanks to everyone who has supported us in this appeal. With your help, we have so far raised twenty-three thousand dollars towards our target of thirty thousand dollars. We look forward to reaching our target in the not-too-distant future.
